Love the soundtrack and the movie! Disney does it again! ❤️
I rarely buy soundtracks, but I got tired of listening to the entire movie when I just wanted the music - I love the movie too and have watched it many times, but sometimes I just want to listen.
When I first saw in in the theaters, I was fine with the both the movie and music, but wasn't really impressed. Didn't particularly remember the songs afterwards.
But then I heard some of the music again and now I can't get some of the songs out of my head! So I bought the movie and the more I watch it, the more I like it.
So now it is one of my favorites for movies and music. I think I had two things that bothered me initially. On the music, I was expecting Hawaiian style. My mistake, but it probably created a negative for me since it wasn't what I expected. For the movie, I think the chicken just annoyed me - I remember telling a friend that that part was just stupid. But now I enjoy those parts too.
Sometimes you just need to see - or hear - something more than once.

Favorite Disney soundtrack thus far.
I love the feeling this soundtrack gives. The whole movie was just amazing but the music makes the biggest difference. I love how happy it makes you feel. Beautiful work!

This is awesome I love moana❤️
The album is on repeat at the house. A triumph of a Disney film and soundtrack. My daughter is crazy for Moana. Now she wants all the toys...
An OK soundtrack
I love Lin-Manuel Miranda, but this seemed like a misstep to me on his part. The rhymes are incredibly predictable and uncreative (how many times can we rhyme "sea" with "me?"). Unlike Most Disney movies, I didn't come out of this movie humming any tunes, remembering any key songs, or rushing to buy the album ... oh wait, I take that back; I remember the song "Shiny" because it is so so so SOO awful. On the whole, it's not a bad soundtrack, just not memorable like other recent Disney songs and clearly not a classic like the Alan Menken disney songs
